Without a doubt, every housewife has her own homemade drink on the festive table and in the daily diet in the autumn-winter period. But what about without him? After all, this is both tasty and healthy - no aggressive preservatives, no dyes, no stabilizers and other nasty things, which cannot be said about store juices.
Recently, compote has become very popular, very much reminiscent of the well-known Fantu soda. The sweet apricot drink with orange immediately conquered everyone, especially children.
Bright and sunny in appearance with a pleasantly pronounced citrus taste, compote has taken an active position in the arsenal of almost every housewife. And the benefits of it are obvious, because all the ingredients are natural.
There are quite a few recipes for making such a delicious compote. I'll tell you some of them - my favorites.
Fanta compote from apricots and oranges, a classic recipe
Ingredients
- Apricots - 400 g
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Granulated sugar - 400 g
Preparation
- Sort the apricots. Leave the fruits only ripe, no visible damage. We dip the fruit in cool water, let it stand for a few minutes so that the dust moves away. Next, wash the apricots and set them aside for a while so that the excess water is gone.
- Let's prepare the orange. It is imperative to wash it well using a non-aggressive brush to completely remove the wax film. Next, cut the citrus into circles.
- Now let's deal with containers for compote. We will use three-liter containers. They must be thoroughly washed with soda and sterilized on a stove over steam, that is, arrange a steam bath for the bank. Do not forget to boil the metal seaming lids.
- We put apricots at the bottom of the prepared container.
- Following the fruit, we also send sliced orange circles to the jar.
- Pour the contents of the jar with water, previously brought to a boil. Cover with a metal lid and let the fruit warm up for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, drain the water from the can and send it back to the stove to heat up.
- Pour sugar into boiled water, stirring, let it dissolve completely. After boiling again, cook for 2 minutes to obtain a concentrated syrup. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.
- Pour the prepared syrup into the fruit in a jar. We immediately roll up the metal lid.
- Turn the container upside down. We wrap the jar and leave it to cool completely for at least 24 hours. Then the container with compote can be put into the pantry until winter.
- Fanta compote from apricots and oranges according to the classic recipe is ready! In this variant, we carried out the filling twice for the reason that the pits were not removed from the apricots. You can store such a compote for no more than a year. Yes, in principle, you will not succeed anymore. Compote turns out to be light, refreshing, with a bright orange flavor.
Fanta compote from apricots and oranges with citric acid
Ingredients
- Apricots - 450 g
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Granulated sugar - 400 g
- Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.
Preparation
- We sort out apricots, remove leaves, twigs. Putting away spoiled fruits. We wash the fruits under running water, leave in a colander for 10 minutes so that the excess liquid is glass.
- This recipe will only have one fill. We'll just remove the bones.
- Let's prepare the orange. Be sure to wash it, you can pour it over with boiling water - this will help remove the wax coating with which I cover citrus fruits so that they do not spoil. Cut the orange into halves.
- Be sure to prepare the container for the compote. The bank needs to be washed and sterilized. Alternatively, hold for 10 minutes in a hot oven. The method is very convenient, because several cans can be sterilized at once. Boil the metal lid for a few minutes and pour clean halves of apricots into the prepared jar.
- We also send sliced halves of orange circles to the jar.
- Pour the sugar and citric acid required by the recipe into the jar.
- Preheat the filtered water. And as soon as the water boils, pour it into a jar with apricots. Cover the jar with a metal lid, but do not roll it up yet.
- Put a cotton towel in a high saucepan at the bottom. We put a jar on it and fill it with water up to the shoulders. After boiling, we sterilize a three-liter jar with compote for 10 minutes. After sterilization, we immediately seal the jar with a metal lid. Turn the container over, wrap it up and leave it to cool at room temperature. Next, we remove the compote for long-term storage.
- Fanta compote from apricots and oranges with citric acid is ready! Such an invigorating, refreshing and vitamin drink will give a special mood and saturate the body with vitamins that are so necessary in the autumn-winter period.
Fanta Apricot Compote with Oranges and Lemon
Ingredients
- Apricots - 400 g
- Oranges - 0.5 pcs
- Lemons - 0.5 pcs
- Granulated sugar - 250 g
Preparation
- We sort out the apricots. Rotten fruits should not be allowed to get into the compote, this will spoil the taste of the drink. Or even worse - we won't even be able to try it, because the lid will swell and explode. Rinse the fruits well in water. Let the pure fruit dry for a while.
- Pieces must be removed from dried apricots. Check carefully again for tainted spots. Throw it away, even if the fruit is slightly bad.
- Thoroughly wash the lemon and orange from the wax deposit. Cut the citruses into halves. Leave the juice too.
- Pre-prepare a three-liter jar for preserving compote - wash well with soda, rinse with clean water and sterilize.
We sterilize in any way possible .. Large volumes are best kept over steam.
Put apricot halves into a sterilized jar.
- Following the apricots, we send semicircles of orange and lemon. To prepare compote with citrus fruits, it is advisable to choose thin-crust fruits, they will not give bitterness in the drink.
- Put granulated sugar in the jar. You can adjust its amount to your taste. Compote can be made more concentrated.
- First, set to boil clean filtered water. Pour the contents of the jar with boiling water. Cover immediately and roll up.
- Turn the rolled container upside down to check the quality of the closure. We wrap it up well, and leave it like that until the compote cools completely. Then we hide the jar in the cellar until winter.
- Fanta apricot compote with oranges and lemon is ready! The result is not only a tasty and healthy drink, but also an excellent alternative to store products. And if you take into account its 100% naturalness, then children can safely drink it.
Fanta Apricot Compote with Orange and Mint
Ingredients
- Apricots - 250 g
- Oranges - 0.5 pcs
- Granulated sugar - 200 g
- Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.
- Mint - 1 piece (twig)
Preparation
- We carefully sort the fruits, wash, remove excess moisture (you can even use a paper towel). Next, divide the apricots into halves and remove the seeds.
- To remove the waxy coating that citrus fruits are coated with for storage, you need to pour boiling water over the fruit. Then rinse under warm running water.
- Cut the prepared orange into quarters of circles.
- To make mint compote, we will use a 1.5 liter container. But if you want to prepare a three-liter can of drink, just double the amount of ingredients. Wash the container with soda, rinse with clean water and sterilize. Small jars can be sterilized in the microwave. It is enough to put a jar in the oven for 5 minutes. We boil metal lids.
- Pour the halves of the apricots into a sterilized jar.
- We also send sliced citrus to the apricots.
- Rinse a sprig of mint under running water and also lower it into a container.
- Pour the contents of the jar with sugar. Add citric acid.
- We put filtered water on the stove. As soon as it boils, pour it into a container. Roll up immediately with the prepared metal lid.
- So that the sugar does not dissolve at the bottom of the jar, it is enough to put the container on its side on a flat surface and roll it a little from side to side. Next, turn the container upside down, wrap it up and leave it to cool at room temperature. After that, the compote can be removed to a cool place until winter.
